Time periods and color schemes were important factors in designing the costumes for Pearland High School's production of Disney's"Descendants: The Musical," according to senior Geneva Cline, who received a semifinalist Tommy Tune nomination for outstanding costume design.
"It's nice to get nominated," said David Barker, the school's theater director of the semifinalist honors."It's a wonderful kind of icing on the cake, but we don't do it for that. We do it for the community, and these kids put their heart and soul into this." When designing costumes, Cline said she took color scheme inspiration from the Disney movies from which the stage musical was based.
