Recall that a prelimnary report earlier received by the government had said about 10 of the students may have been kidnapped from the school.In a statement issued by the Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, he said the students were not kidnapped within the school premises but that they ran into the bandits, who had earlier kidnapped some persons before they were also kidnapped too.
Aruwan noted in the statement that the management of the school has submitted the names and classes of the kidnapped students. He said Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has condemned the abduction of the students, describing the incident as unfortunate.
