Do the tax payer's get some money back? Teacher's only work 180 days. Plus holiday's. That about $52 n hr? Avg about 75k yr. Who cares how many students per class. LAUSD=650k students. 30k teacher=21.66 students per teacher? Don't add up.
You have an 8 MONTH A YEAR JOB with benefits, retirement, ...and get paid a lot more than me and many others slaving 12 months with No Benefits or retirement. No one feels sorry you! Stop crying and get your A_S back in the classroom. Who are you kidding?

If the US wasn't spending $113B+ on FREE education for ILLEGAL aliens EVERY year, that money could give EVERY teacher in US a $30K+ raise EVERY year. Another source for $5.7B for border wall as well.

These teachers want to be paid more because they have to put up with such awful 'precious little snowflakes'. Real and effective discipline is so much cheaper. That's what teachers REALLY want, even if they say they are against it. Bring back the paddle.

Honestly a kids education is important. More important than your pay. Just set up a protest on Saturday or Sunday for damn sake. Or how about you stop complaining about your pay. You get 2-3 months off a year (including weekends and weeks off)
Teachers imprint a lot onto the minds of the younger generation. Hopefully striking isn't carried over.

I’ve been teaching for 5 years now and any opportunity I get to leave I will take. I love to teach but the pay isn’t worth it. Everything behind the curtain that goes on is too stressful.
