School, bus cancellations in effect Thursday as Ontario gets hit with snowstorm

Ahead of all the snow, Niagara’s school boards have proactivelyHere’s what you need to know from each school board throughout the GTHA and Niagara region.

The full list of school bus cancellations Toronto District School Board and Toronto Catholic District School Board Due to weather-related delays, all buses are cancelled today, however schools will remain open.York Region District School Board and York Catholic District School Board Due to inclement weather, transportation services are cancelled today, February 23. Schools remain open to students.

What's the logic behind buses are always canceled and schools open? Are the busses so fragile? What about those children? Are they going to school ? In these uncertain conditions, why can't they close schools too to make every one be safe on the road? Bus drivers sit at home...

We live in a wonderland where school kids are much stronger than school buses.

To everyone with their panties in a knot, teachers can wake up early and leave a little early and drive a bit more cautiously. School buses will not be able to make it on schedule, and only 7% of students take buses. The whole city would shut down if 263000 kids had to stay home.

tdsb everybody remember this when they are preaching the equity nonsense later.... Hahaha

The ones making these decisions are always the ones working from home - I’m pretty confident the board offices will be a ghost town today but not for schools

I grew up in a small town, sometimes busses were cancelled for kids but the teacher who lived on the same road had to make it in.

tdsb TCDSB lack of care and concern for staff…if they are saying stay off the roads that includes everyone not just buses

End Ontario ban on closing low-enrolment schools, public school association saysOntario\u0027s education ministry is being asked to end a moratorium and issue new guidelines for school boards to resume accommodation reviews. We should eliminate the distinction of public vs catholic and just have Ontario schools! Incorporate some more robust worldwide religion studies instead of catering to one sect - have those people use outside sources like every other religion!
