He could be banned from teaching as a result.

He was convicted of the attack at Chryston High after shouting abuse and threatening the other man and later fined at Airdrie Sheriff Court.

The so far unnamed member of staff at the school will go before the General Teaching Council for Scotland at a hearing expected to last four days.They will consider a claim his fitness to teach is impaired as a result of the incident and that he breached the profession's code of conduct. The incident took place a the school in November 2018 and he was convicted of shouting, swearing, uttering threats, butting him on the head and pushing his colleague a year later, and find £400.
