People exaggerate a lot on incidents like this if there was body cam let see the video because the way the lawyer is explaining the incident might be different from what on video!
The headline should read A University of Toronto student why always stress on the colour of one’s skin? Why do they have to hold a press conference today? They’re suing why not go ahead with the lawsuit why do they want people to know about the lawsuit?

The parents are long time supporters and friends of Nigel Barriffe. Nigel is a professional anti-racism activist who is against police having tasers. This relationship needs to be considered in the events that lead up to the use of force and the decision to sue the police.
