Medical errors are considered the 3rd leading cause of death, with approx 250,000 deaths each year caused by medical errors.

Anything but sensible nationwide gun laws.

A very sick society with warped priorities is what’s causing this. We must all fight for the country we want & stop allowing a vile minority to dictate to us.

Anyone who thinks gun control will stop a wacko who wants to kill children is living on another planet! Need much more help for the mentally ill and much less hate speech from the Dems.

That’s because the goal today apparently is to raise a society of emotional water balloons. Things happen in the world and you raise your kids to be strong, not weak. When you induce victimhood and shelterness, children grow up to be susceptible to all forms of emotional attacks

Heartbreaking.

What we are doing to future generations

If they keep people in fear people will bow to the demons supposibly saving them America are so scared they can barley maintain anything and without dad's and mom these kids are subjuect to Gov abuse daily and no one cares kids are being beaten killed abused and there is no jail

I grew up in South Florida. Proximity to Cuba made middle attacks a possibility. Our desks were magic. Ducking under them would protect us from a nuclear bomb. (Or so we were told.) Difference is that kids today see real school shootings and lockdowns are not just a drill.

So, we should close all schools?

As a teacher of young children I can tell you how stressful this is. You want them to understand that it's important without scaring them. Based on the questions they ask it scares them. There is no way it cannot. It scares me too.

Only in America. SAD!

realDonaldTrump here's an example of something you should be concerned about

1/ Stories like this without proper context can actually do more harm than good. Columbine parent (daughter critically injured) & retired emergency management specialist. Lockdown drills are one the most used & abused protocols I've ever seen.

As a Brit what’s more shocking than the initial story are the comments wanting to arm teachers 🙈

reimagine “school structure” - create structures that are impenetrable. Mechanisms that detect weapons distant from humans, autodrop shielding ... Etc - In other words, no more schools as we know them. No more fear/trauma. Anything is possible.

I hope they’re not having fire drills also! The horror! 🙄

Devistating So - what % of these schools were private schools? Why no shootings at provate schools? Why the difference? Rich kids get depressed, get mad, treat women like garbage, etc - why are these schools different?

I remember when parents raised strong children instead of professional victims. It’s sad the lack of parenting that goes on and the reliance on government.

So, does Dana Loesch and Erik Prince believe that they are doing God's work? They are scaring the shit out of millions of children, because they make money by doing so. So sad.

maggieNYT Lockdowns are traumatizing to students. Students grow to be adults. Most students of today are growing up in fear. We must turn things around before everyone is sick and traumatized.

maggieNYT Hey WP, The solution is to arm the teachers and guards. Your bs propaganda no longer works. We are awake and we will never give up our right to bear arms.

JuddApatow Awe look at that babies face. So sad. Kids shouldn't have to endure that.

maggieNYT Gmafb....the dumbdowning of America

SophiaBush Yet I'm sure they were just fine during fire drill. Snowflakes

maggieNYT NRA ... our children ... NRA ... our children, it's such a difficult choice isn't it.

JuddApatow My son had nightmares for a week after his first lockdown drill.

SophiaBush

maggieNYT 💔 I remember the first time my daughter, then 7, told me about her day and said, “guess what mom? We all had to crumple in the corner today and hide in case a stranger comes in. It was fun”. Fun. She was in 2nd grade & had no clue. No child should have to prepare for this.

maggieNYT Oh no!

maggieNYT Terrifying

Of course

BurnettCynthia And all we hear about is trumpswall

maggieNYT How many hours of learning were lost as a result? That number is the truly damning stat. No other developed country gives up teaching time to practice getting shot at

maggieNYT This is tragic. As a child of 70s nuclear mushroom cloud drills and lectures I don't underestimate the effects this has on kids.

SophiaBush we're raising a generation of scarred children. They have so much to hope for and yet we've given them a future that looks far more finite today than ever before, thanks to climate change and the worst of human nature.

maggieNYT My sons had one in the first week of school. Nobody at the school ever communicated with families to explain that it was for a police car chase - not an active shooter. It was terrifying.

rick00979 🤬🤬🤬

You really want to ‘do something‘? Stop penalizing boys for being male! Stop telling men to be more effeminate in everything they do. Stop using feminism as an excuse to invade every last bastion of manhood. There are 2 genders for a reason! 😡

This and the detention of hundreds of children in determent camps is Trump's America!

JuliaFleming This is more than shameful, disheartening & wholly sad. NO child should be afraid of being in school!

Return this nation to the family values it once had, and eliminate all of this progressive (communist) destruction and it would clear up in a generation. Otherwise it only gets worse, because that’s the progressive plan to disarm Americans.

Rather than give up guns, this is the way the selfish 2nd Amendment advocates want us to live. More should care and stop making excuses that it is our right to own guns and so be it; meanwhile children (all of us) live in terror. SICK!

Imagine if this were your children Mr NRA SenToddYoung Would you care then or keep taking blood money from the NRA?

Only in America! Anything but sensible nationwide gun laws!

These children will be the next in line needing help for PTSD. The war on children by NRA supporting Americans must stop.

Thank you NRA. Love to see you go under as you claim you are.

Sifill_LDF We are allowing the gun industry to destroy the mental health of an entire generation of school children. Stop the NRA and let’s get sensible guncontrol now.

Does nobody in the US see how utterly insane this is? They are children having to hide from marauders as though in some kind of action movie, though without a superhero to win the day. The fact that so many people think arming teachers is a solution is even more insane.

Because bad children are not parented correctly and become monsters at an early age. Schools are forbidden to discipline. Thank you, failed modern psychology

When I was a kid we had lockdowns all the time. Just kidding! That never happened. Our parents understood that they couldn’t control everything so they didn’t always charge schools and government with our safety.

It has an impact upon teachers & staff too.

Congratulations! They are all scared for life so they will need to vote in the liberal elitists to take care of them.

That shouldn't surprise any loving adult. Provide a racial breakdown of those placed in that predicament.

LOL. The media surprised that people overreact to overexposure.

Lockdowns save lives during real attacks, but the procedures can inflict immense psychological damage on children convinced that they’re in danger.

every child in America is going to grow up feeling about shootings the way boomers felt about nuclear war. duck and cover 2.

Why is nobody talking about the poor traumatized guns? Some politicians wanted to restrict them.

💔💔💔

If it's so traumatizing to be in lock-down maybe they should start behaving

This teacher’s post about a gift from a student with ‘nothing to give’ went viralShe said she was touched by the gift, because everybody knows marshmallows are the sweetest part of Lucky Charms. Don’t get me wrong post, I like you guys. We will mind fuck each other to evolution I also taught in a very low income area, and one of the most memorable gifts from a student was a half full box of Kleenex that he’d wrapped himself. Another student asked why he gave it to me, and he said, “Because it was the prettiest thing in my house.”
