Children are “amazed” with their new playground after the school raised £17,000 to install the equipment.

Schoolchildren have been enjoying their"amazing" new plaground after £17,000 was raised to install new equipment.decided to improve its offering when some of the older kit was unable to be usedBy organising several events such as film clubs and sponsored readathons, the school is only £3,000 off its £20,000 target.

Some of the new apparatus and playground markings have already been installed, with one child comparing it to Watford's famous park.They said: “It’s amazing, it’s just like Cassiobury Park. “I like everything because before we only had a climbing frame and now we have lots of things to play on.”Another said: “I like going on the obstacle course because we get to play on the bridge, the tunnel and the monkey bars.”Parents and community organisations, such as the Nascot Wood Residents Association, Tesco and Asda, Urban Keys Estate Agents, all made donations to the cause.

The school’s head teacher Miss Pam Scragg said she was proud of the support from everyone who helped with fundraising.She said: “The children now have high quality provision and it is fantastic to see them enjoying playtimes so much.”
