The Canadian Union of Public Employees has filed a five-day notice go to back on strike, saying contract talks with the Ontario government "broke down" again." The notice means education workers could go on strike on Monday, forcing some schools to close.OTTAWA CATHOLIC SCHOOL BOARD

"We will do this because operating in-person learning without CUPE staff is unsafe. If the strike occurs, we will do our best to ensure that learning continues for all students," the board said in a letter to parents.OTTAWA-CARLETON DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARDThe Ottawa-Carleton District School Board says CUPE does not represent any employees in its schools.The Upper Canada District School Board says if CUPE members go on strike, schools will be closed to students.

Students should be striking and telling education workers to get to work. If they keep pulling this crap maybe online learning should replace there ass.

What a joke. Kids have been through enough

Online learning was never part of a teachers contract, it was for emergency in a pandemic. Using online learning during a strike defeats the entire purpose

Ford and Leccee have no one but themselves to blame for this one. Workers are done, it's not just teachers assistant with CUPE that will get mad.

Close the schools send me my rebate cheque and bye bye Union... 🤷🏼‍♂️

Remember If striking for a bit screws up your kids education then that means teachers are really really important and you should pay them like they are.
