A teenage boy accused of murdering a friend denied having anything to do with his death. The 17-year-old is on trial alongside two other teenagers, who can't be named for legal reasons, who are all accused of murdering Alan Szelugowski in Clowes Park, Salford.

Boy B said that he and Boy C had been planning to meet friends in the evening of January 29, but that they met up with Boy A after he asked to use the car.
Asked why he believed Boy A wanted to head to the park, Boy B said: "The reason he gave me was that he was going to meet a friend to get something, nothing else other than that." He added: "There was no reason for me to be concerned about anything."
