If you want to increase pay for educational assistants take the money from teachers. Teachers in Ontario are insanely well paid and are allowed to take off a too many days off during a school year. My kids last year had more substitute teachers then regular teachers. Every single week my kids complained of having substitute teachers. I really think the ford government should look at reducing the amount of time off teachers can take. they take way too many days off from the classroom.
