Learning recovery will require greater attention to student needs, all of which are provided by dedicated teachers and education workers.

While the government claims they have no money for education, they are shortchanging students by sitting on nearly a billion dollars of unspent federal government dollars provided for Ontario’s schools.We have seen what that looks like in many areas of the United States with the implementation of charter schools, voucher systems, and tax credits for private schools that put billions of public dollars into the hands of wealthy corporations.

Every single week my kids complained of having substitute teachers. I really think the ford government should look at reducing the amount of time off teachers can take. they take way too many days off from the classroom.

If you want to increase pay for educational assistants take the money from teachers. Teachers in Ontario are insanely well paid and are allowed to take off a too many days off during a school year. My kids last year had more substitute teachers then regular teachers.
