School Assigns Homework Telling Kids to Talk Friend Out of Being Gay

A Kentucky middle school is under fire after giving students an assignment instructing them to convince a hypothetical friend “struggling with homosexuality” to embrace “God’s design” instead.

The homework was part of an elective Bible class at the Christian Academy of Louisville, and included suggested talking points such as “homosexuality will not bring them satisfaction,” and saying that “you love them even though you don’t approve of their lifestyle.

'Talking to a friend about being gay from a biblical perspective' means saying, 'I still love and accept you. You're still my friend.' That's it. End of lesson.

& it's highly likely whomever implemented that policy is trying very hard to quell his own temptations lol Consensual sex isn't a sin..it's a gift. Also why separation of church&state is essential! Teaching facts, empirical data, & why that's important..do no harm Science

There's 'good' in that book but until we call out the fiction that dwarfs the former it could very well be our demise. & yep, because it is often so violently defended. Not anti Christian nor diety Lies try to kill truth so how is defending them make anyone righteous?

I would never send my child to a christian school as Christian views on life are twisted & ugly when it comes to gender, race, sex, sexuality & survival on the planet. Filled with hatred, shame & oppression, most christianities are a bane on our existence ChristianWitchHunters

Unfortunately, this is a private school which means that legally they can espouse and this sort of putrid rubbish.

But it’s public schools that are “grooming” kids and proselytizing. Every WhiteNationalistChristian GQP accusation is a confession. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.

In the 70s I had a high school class called “College Prep Writing.” I was assigned a persuasion paper and chose the topic: “Gays and Lesbians Should be Allowed to Marry.” After reading my paper the majority of my class agreed. 👍🏻🏳️‍🌈
