Growing up on a remote cattle station in north-west Queensland hasn't stopped Zander Wilson from dreaming big.
BushED is filling households in isolated areas across Queensland and the Northern Territory with music by offering distance education students remote lessons. "It has those feels, that lightness, that sense of enjoyment and fun which, you know, you need sometimes out here, especially in years like this which are looking very dry," Mrs Wilson"If you can have a little bit of music in your life, a little bit of laughter, hopefully it'll get you through the hard times.
The tyranny of distance was well understood by music school owner Leanne Harmer, who also grew up on a cattle station, before completing a Bachelor of Music and becoming a musician and songwriter.
