“What’s so frustrating is that we’ve done everything that we were told to do … And I go back to work and I last five days.”

After two years, Mississauga high school teacher Laura Kirby-McIntosh was “really excited” to return to the classroom last week for the first time since the start of theShe — and her husband Bruce McIntosh, who’s on dialysis — tested positive for COVID last weekend.

“We have no way of formally tracking what’s happening in schools,” said Cathy Abraham, president of the Ontario Public School Boards’ Association , which represents English-language public boards. According to the province’s data, schools in Toronto’s public board had an average absence rate of 14 per cent, while the city’s Catholic board schools averaged 11 per cent. York’s public and Catholic boards each averaged roughly 11 per cent. Peel’s public board had an average absence rate of nearly 15 per cent, and the average was 13 per cent at the Dufferin-Peel Catholic board.

When a supply isn’t available, TDSB spokesperson Ryan Bird says, “We continue to try to cover off these classes with staff at the school and where possible, central staff,” adding students are always supervised.

The narrative continues. What of the other 10s of thousands of teachers who arent down with what are now mild symptoms of a virus that's morphing into the endemic stage of its existance. What are healthy adults in their 30s and 40s so afraid of? leafs LeafsForever bluejays

So two years of hiding and all the vaccinations, and she still got COVID. If this is not a sign to you that sooner or later we all will get COVID and just have to live with it, then you’re delusional.

Should have been vaccinated

She will realize it’s just a cold and wonder what’s she’s been scared of for 2 years.

This is a story?

Shows you that doug ford is not for the people Wanted 14% wage increase for himself plus new suv with couch and tv. Put his noise in city politics. Couldnt get a deal with teachers, last province to get 10 $ day care, tried to put his friend in top cop in opp.. many more

Teachers then: I will do everything I can to educate and protect you Teachers now: little Timmy gave me a virus I have a 99.99999999% chance of surviving. What a dick

Have u ever thought once like all the 'EXPERTS' have said the tests are bad PRC is not specific for covid And the rapid test is built in a Chinese backroom But yes everyone keeps testing positive with no symptoms 2+2=5 right

Some people kept working the last two years and also tested positive….boohoo for the teachers

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. The PCR test is a fraud. The only sick people I know are jabbed.

My son tested positive, we rushed him to the pharmacy to get him some Kleenex. Thankfully they had some of the ultrasoft, it was a close one.

So what's the answer Star? A covid world order? Mandatory vaccines? Zoom classes? Keep sharing fear to use this as an opportunity for a reset? 🤢

Give it up already. GFY
