Tyreke Evans, who played high school basketball at American Christian Academy in Chester, was approved to be reinstated by the NBA and the National Basketball Players Association earlier this week, according to a media report. Evans, 32, was banned by the NBA for nearly three years on May 17, 2019. He tested “positive for a prohibited substance under the NBA/NBPA Anti-Drug Program,” the NBA said in its statement.reported. He is now an unrestricted free agent and can negotiate contracts with any team immediately. As of noon on Friday, he’s allowed to sign a new contract.After deciding on Memphis to play college ball, he began his pro career having been drafted No. 4 by the Sacramento Kings in 2009.
