The lawsuit filed by Macungie residents Maureen and Christopher Brophy says lessons about racism and the Black Lives Matter movement are anti-Christian and discriminate against their religion.

He said the settlement shouldn’t be seen as a precedent for how the district will handle future litigation. He said the district will “continue to aggressively address any and all litigation brought against it or its employees.” The Derek Smith Law Group of Philadelphia gets 25% of the settlement – $11,250 – plus $559.02 for expenses.
