COVID-19 health protocols are in place at the university. The school asks students, faculty and staff to not go to campus if they are feeling ill; encourages masking and vaccination; provides a platform for self reporting positive tests; and offers COVID-19 testing. UNT also randomly selects 2,000 members of the campus community to test for coronavirus every two weeks, though participation is voluntary.
“It doesn’t cost the university an extra penny. It involves technology that is already in the classroom,” Armintor, 47, said. “This is an accessibility issue that’s even bigger than COVID, and I will continue to do this even after the pandemic because all students should have that option.” UNT’s Office of Disability Access as well as academic advisors work with students to identify options if they want to pursue remote classes, Moxley said. Options vary based on each student’s needs.
“Keeping classes in person — not giving the option for people to be able to go online — is kind of harming people and already has,” Matchett, 19, said. “We all want to protect each other, in the end, because we’re all a good community, we all look out for each other on UNT.”
Probably all art majors.
This is hilarious to me because students are protesting for more virtual options yet they spend more time at house parties and clubs without masks. Oh the irony. Don't believe me ask every Uber and Lyft driver in Denton or every bar, restaurant, club in the 20 mile radius LOL
