TORONTO -- Up to 50,000 education workers in Ontario could be fired if COVID-19 vaccines were mandated for that sector, the province's education minister said Tuesday.
"I think we have to be coupled by realism and ensure that any staff member who enters our school has a double test, a negative antigen test, to ensure they are safe, to ensure our schools could be staffed, and these kids can continue to go to school every day," he said."We expect absolute compliance with our directive, approved by the chief medical officer of health, or else those staff are not to enter Ontario schools," Caitlin Clark said in a statement.
They are thinking of mandating vaccines for education workers but not healthcare workers? Both should be mandated. I was more than happy to receive my vaccinations to not only protect myself and my family but my students as well, especially after losing a parent to Covid in Dec.
If you plan to make vaccinations mandatory for kids 5 to 11 then we should expect their teachers and teaching staff to be vaccinated as well. Why should my kid be vaccinated to protect the teachers and not the other way around?

Can you at least TRY to fact check him? For example you could ask how many edu workers TOTAL in ON - your article says 50K represents about 15% of the workforce but 50K seems really high. Rather than portraying anti-vax as victims, say there is no violation of Charter of Rights.

Seems like a very high number given that 84% of those over 12 are already fully vaccinated in Ontario….and the highest % unvaccinated are in the 12-17 age group. Something does not seem correct here.
