Many families are enduring the struggles of working from home with schoolkids starting term three through online education.

One of these families, the Howards, have two children and both parents work from home due to the pandemic.

The children, like many others, were unable to enjoy their holiday with their friends due to lockdown and have to face a new challenge of remote learning with a new syllabus. “I think that’s going to be really hard on the children, the kids struggle when they don’t see their friends, they’re not getting out to do sport and activities, so they start to go a bit stir crazy,” Ms Howard said.

Children of essential workers have returned to school in person but must go through strict COVID protocols for pick up and drop off.
