MORNING BRIEFING: Parents are being urged to keep their children at home while the government considers whether to extend online learning beyond week 1.

She said there was "every intention" that students would be back in the classroom for week 2, but the surge of cases could disrupt those plans.

The owners of an apartment tower in Chatswood are suing Australian property giant Mirvac over alleged defects to the exterior of the building.In documents filed to the Supreme Court of NSW, owners allege there are six separate issues with the exterior louvres, including that they are too large for the "wind load" and do not comply with building standards.
