Despite the unprecedented challenges brought by the coronavirus disease pandemic, the Department of Education maintained that it was able to provide a “fearless and proactive” response that aimed to

ensure learning continuity for millions of Filipino learners.

During the EduTECH Philippines Virtual 2021 held in March, Undersecretary for Administration Alain Del Pascua also highlighted the different learning modalities created in support of the Basic Education-Learning Continuity Plan currently implemented this school year. Related to this, Pascua cited the development of DepEd TV, DepEd Radio, and DepEd Commons as some of the steps of the DepEd to ensure learning continuity, even in Last Mile Schools, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
