All the lazy morons on here saying teachers are lazy, they haven’t got a clue and wouldn’t last 2 minutes in a classroom

A longer day!! Are you crazy. The day is long enough as it is. This is ‘free childcare’ packages as ‘catch-up learning’

Also backed by most parents, teachers work longer and harder than most(except the NHS of course) they keep getting treated like shit by this GOVUK educationgovuk

Teachers are Lazy. Too many kids in Australia are leaving school uneducated in simple maths ,reading and writing . Employers say 48% are unemployable. There should be no more school holidays for 3 years, so kids can at least get a chance to catch up to the rest of the world.

Never ....... ought to get shot of the lot of em

Lazy lefty fuckers.

Nope. Nor do I!

So are all teachers lazy or just the majority of them?

They reject the work. Longer school days arena great idea. Keep the mini thugs in the classroom win win

Vilifying teachers who have been in school throughout all these covid lockdowns looking after vulnerable and working peoples kids they all work extra hours on a weekly basis without pay..ask the kids if they want extra time in school in the summer the result will be the same

There’s an optimum time frame each day when work/learning can happen & young people’s mentalhealth needs recreation & reconnection with friends - not extra maths.

Well they would wouldn't they ! Why would they want to work longer hours? For what..

That’s because they’ve been paid full salary to sit home and do nothing for a year. Of course they don’t want to give that up. Fuck what they want.

Majority of teachers do not back school day extensions to help...Two in three UK teachers believe pupils should be supported through sport and exercise (68 per cent) and increased creative and practical learning (66 per cent), the poll found. I can't blame them. I am sure they want to help. But teachers don't clock off at 3pm. I am not sure they have the capacity to work even more than they do. How many days holiday do these teachers want. First generation of kids crying out for education and teachers avoiding doing their jobs. Disgrace. 6 weeks holiday cut to 2. Educate through until Xmas. Bloody do the right thing... As do parents and students.

Teachers reject Covid catchup options of extended school day and shorter holidaysUnion survey in England, Wales and Northern Ireland also shows lack of enthusiasm for tutoring scheme I just moved to your city, who wouldn't mind showing me interesting places? Let the children recover from this pandemic through play, reading, and activities that engage the brain without over-stressing their spirits. It’s been a slog for everyone. Of course they do. How about disbanding the unions.

Covid in Scotland: Secondary schools to return full time after EasterPrimary schools are already back full time but secondary schools had been using blended learning. Sturgeon’s politicking has needlessly delayed the full time return of children to school. Shame on her. Typical London School Britain is becoming anti English That picture doesn’t represent the majority of public school class rooms. In fact I’d say this image was misleading.
