SIBU: SJK (C) Tung Hua here has been ordered to close until further notice after three pupils tested positive for Covid-19.

School head Yu Siong Chiu said the three siblings are believed to have contracted the coronavirus from their grandmother.

"On Thursday , the grandmother complained of fever. A swab test later found her positive for Covid-19. The three pupils who had close contact with her later had their swab tests," she said.Yu said her school was ordered by the Health Ministry to close until further notice. "We have been strictly adhering to the SOP set by the Health Ministry. It is unfortunate that this case happened," she said."During this period, we will conduct online learning for them," she said.Two other schools namely - SK Abang Ali and SK St Mary - were also ordered to close until the end of mid-term holiday on April 3 for safety reasons as they are located in the Kampung Hilir cluster.
