Former Brisbane Lions player Justin Clarke, who was forced to retire from the AFL at 22 because of a concussion incident, has been awarded the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship to study at Oxford University in 2021.

Mr Clarke will graduate from the University of Queensland in December from a duel program with a Bachelor of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science .forced to retire from the AFL in 2016He was nudged in the back as he went for the ball, stumbling forward, with his forehead colliding with the knee of a player coming the other way.
