Former Liberal MP Fiona Scott says restricting sale of tobacco to prescription only is “a stretch too far”. Her comment comes as the University of Queensland funded Centre of Research Excellence on Achieving the Tobacco Endgame has proposed restricting sale of tobacco products to pharmacies via prescription alone in a bid to accelerate a decline in the prevalence of smoking.
