Higher Education Minister Dr Noraini Ahmad says there are no plans to defer or cancel academic sessions in universities, as SOPs are already in place to curb the spread of Covid-19. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, September 24, 2020.

THE Higher Education Ministry said today it has no intention to postpone or cancel academic sessions at public universities and institutes of higher learning nationwide, following the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases, especially in Sabah. Minister Dr Noraini Ahmad said this was because the ministry had issued standard operating procedures and guidelines that must be followed by every public university and college nationwide to curb the spread of the pandemic.
