DepEd: Over 98 % printed learning modules ready for distribution

Data from DepEd showed that as of Sept. 13, a total of 739,372,098 Self Learning Modules have been printed. Of this number, a total of 730,739,147 printed SLMs are “ready for distribution.”

DepEd Undersecretary and spokesperson Atty. Nepomuceno Malaluan, in a recent Senate hearing, said that the number of printed SLMs represents 98.83 percent of modules that are now ready for distribution. Nepomuceno added that “there are a total of 25,602 schools that have distributed the SLMs to the learners” as early as June 4 and will continue until the opening of classes next month.

Most of the divisions have scheduled their respective distribution activities subject to minimum public health standards as required by the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases and “have noted that the SLMs are readily available in schools.” Based on the data from DepEd, the regions that have distributed the printed SLMs include Region II with 1,025 schools from Sept. 14 to Oct. 3; Region III with 1,873 from Aug. 22 to Oct. 5; Region IV-A with 1,897 schools from Aug. 12 to Oct. 2; Region IV-B with 1,009 schools from Sept. 1 to Oct. 23; Region V with 2,203 from Aug. 1 to Oct. 5; Region VI with 4,141 with July 28 to Oct. 5; Region VII with 1,077 schools from July 1 to Oct. 5; Region VIII with 2,861 from June 4 to Oct.
