Absolutely. I am a Dr and a parent, I know the amount of risk to my son as I myself caught the virus in the beginning of pandemic. Still I want my son to go to school without wasting a day. Can't wait for vaccine or end of pandemic.

Keep schools closed.

No, it’s not. Of course, it’s not. Kids do get sick. Kids can also be asymptotic carriers and get family members sick.

We've know this for a long while.

Some neurodiverse kids & those with LD can't cope without their daily routine & therapies through school. Mine for example, and many at his special school. The school has very small classes which should help. Would be even better if we had a robust track & trace.

There is an element of risk. But the CMO is correct in that the risk to missing lessons is much greater.

All people over 11 years must wear masks in shops but not in schools?

Should we let them miss a day to go to nan's funeral?

Fauci Re the young and healthy, who don't need a hospital but get sick enough to be in bed for a week or two get better from Covid-19 but have very serious residual symptoms... six months to a year from now we will talk about the many long-term issues of non-hospitalized patients

Kids are OK but their grandparents or vulnerable family might not be. These school plans must include the vulnerable and those who had to shield.

Let's be quite clear what the Chief Medical Officers' statement on the risks of re-opening schools actually says, rather than relying on the expurgated headlines the Government is spouting this morning

Leaving your house every day is a risk and it was has been that way long before COVID. Ask the parents who have lost children.

Unless of course, the kids and their parents die. Hard choice, right?

but missing lessons..

ok
