High-profile civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump took to Twitter late Sunday to call attention to the arrest of an 8-year-old at a Florida school.
“At eight years old, three and a half feet tall, and 64 [pounds], this little boy didn’t pose a threat to anyone," Crump said in a statement.Private special ed schools can restrain kids with disabilities 1,000s of times. Parents might not know. Crump is also the attorney representing the family of George Floyd, a Black man who died after a former Minneapolis Police Department officer knelt on Floyd's neck for nearly nine minutes. With Crump at Tuesday's press conference will be attorney Devon Jacob and the boy's mother.

Regardless of what he did this is just cruel. We want children to respect law enforcement and not fear them but this little boy will have this memory for his entire life and its not a good one. We wont know the impact for years to come
I am not defending the police, however I have encountered a few very young children who were very violent and dangerous to the other students and teachers. Some children need personal aides. What kind of support from the Principal did she get?

What a bunch of garbage. How is it possible that the police officer didn't realize how stupid he was being? I mean, they should have a class on sensitivity.
That should be an easy win for that family. There's nothing the PD can use as solid argument in that case. It's weird the PD acted that normal in such uncommon situation.
