The University of Oxford's possible COVID-19 vaccine could be rolled out by the end of the year but there is no certainty, the lead developer of the vaccine said on Tuesday.

LONDON - The University of Oxford’s possible COVID-19 vaccine could be rolled out by the end of the year but there is no certainty, the lead developer of the vaccine said on Tuesday.

The experimental vaccine, which has been licensed to AstraZeneca , produced an immune response in early-stage clinical trials, data showed on Monday, preserving hopes it could be in use by the end of 2020. She said it needed to be shown to work in late-stage trials, there needed to be large quantities manufactured, and regulators had to agree quickly to license it for emergency use before large numbers of people could be vaccinated.

“The chance of us getting a vaccine before Christmas that actually is highly effective are, in my view, very low,” Whitty told lawmakers.

Okay

se inspiram no Átila pelo visto

I'm very concerned over live Iris Transmissions like the shingles vaccine of 2016!

And when 1.1.2021 rolls in, so does Brexit. No need to get it licenced on EU before vaccinating british people.

Ummm...then don't roll out until that caution is relieved with additional testing. Please don't fast track something that doesn't work.

That good to hear that there could be a vaccine for Coronavirus keep the good work up! The Oxford vaccine is said to only give immunity for two months. I wouldn’t want it if that’s all it does. If however it reduces the severity of an infection caught later, then it’s worth thinking about.
