Prime Minister ScottMorrisonMP says while the government will support industries and workers impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, it is not looking to go 'further down' the path of more income support.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison says while the government will support industries and workers impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, it is not looking to go "further down" the path of more income support. Labor is lobbying the government to extend the JobKeeper program to include casuals in the education, transport and charity sectors. Mr Morrison told parliament during Question Time the government is looking forward bringing more Australians off income payments.

"Where there are those employers who can't make themselves eligible for that program, JobSeeker, some 1.6 million or thereabouts of Australians have been able to access those payments. "So we will continue to provide those supports but I'll say this also. We're now on the road back. It's not about going further down, Mr Speaker, in terms of the supports that are necessary. It's now about being on the road back.
