The De La Salle University (DLSU) is the lone Philippine private university included in the 2020 Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings.

DLSU placed in the 301 to 350 bracket. It slipped from 251 to 300 bracket in 2018, when the institution made it to the list for the first time.

Times Higher Education assessed Asian universities based on learning environment, research, research influence, industry income, and international outlook. Meanwhile, the University of the Philippines ranked 65th. The country’s premiere state university climbed 30 places from last year’s 95th placing.This year, 489 universities from 30 territories met the criteria to be included in the list. A total of 43 higher education institutions from Southeast Asia were part of the 2020 ranking.
