More than 190 cases of the coronavirus have been discovered in New York, including 46 people in New York City

Any school with a confirmed COVID-19 case must close for 24 hours On Monday, Governor Cuomo announced that under a new state policy, any school where a student or faculty member tests positive for the coronavirus must immediately close for 24 hours to allow for time to assess the situation and see if the closure should be extended.
