The fund-raising campaign was initiated by Alor Setar MCA Wanita and Youth division, with items such as herbal eggs, desserts, sweet delicacies, banana biscuits, breads, soft toys, guppy fish and accessories being sponsored by donors and local businessmen. Nonetheless, the fund-raising team continued with their activities after the enforcement team left, and managed to collect RM2,500.“But the enforcement team came at 9.30am and decided to cart away the items. They told us the place was not suitable for peddling.
