Relating his meeting after receiving the delegation led by Tianjin University vice party secretary Prof Dr Lei Ming, Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said he was convinced that the Architectural Engineering and Commerce courses from both tertiary institutions should cooperate academically.
“I look forward to having academic staff from both universities sharing their research results in future and bring greater academic achievements to the students of the two countries,” said the MCA president in a Facebook post on Saturday . Dr Wee, who is also TARC Education Foundation board of trustees chairman, said Tianjin University was no stranger to him, as he was invited there last year and awarded the honorary professor of the university.The Ayer Hitam MP also cited the Tianjin University’s academic reputation behind his aspirations for both higher learning institutions to come together.
