West Dunbartonshire Council has hit out at vandals who deliberately set fire to a hut in a school playground.

Posting on Facebook, the council has released a photo of the large-scale damage which reveals the structure's roof caved in and the hut completely scorched.The council said:"It is extremely disappointing that mindless fire-raising over the weekend has destroyed a play hut at Kilbowie Primary School.

"We condemn all vandalism but this targeted attack on a well-loved children’s play area within a school is particularly disturbing.Readers’ comments: You are personally liable for the content of any comments you upload to this website, so please act responsibly.
