Emergency services were called to Kilbowie Primary School on West Thomson Street in Clydebank after the alarm was raised at around 6.30pm on Friday.

Pictures shared with Glasgow Live showed the large fire tearing through a blue hut in the middle of the school's playground.

Black smoke was seen billowing up into the sky from the area, which is used by pupils during break times.Police Scotland confirmed the blaze is being treated as wilful and an investigation is ongoing.
