Every classroom in the state from grades 5 through 12 must have a Bible and all teachers must teach from the Bible in the classroom, Walters saidrequiring the Ten Commandments be displayed in all public school classrooms. The Louisiana law mandates that a poster of the Ten Commandments with “large, easily readable font” be in every classroom at schools that receive state funding, from kindergarten through college. A “context statement” will also be posted to explain why the religious text is in the classroom.
