A man is facing a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge after he was caught on video shoving a Wisconsin high school superintendent during a graduation ceremony on May 31. The moment is creating controversy and speculation about the man, identified as Matthew Eddy, and his motives, as it appears, he pushes Baraboo Superintendent Rainey Briggs right before Briggs is able to shake Eddy's daughter's hand.Some online are calling the behavior racist, as Briggs is Black and Eddy is white.

' The confrontation led to a misdemeanor charge against Eddy.According to the criminal complaint, Eddy told Briggs he 'was not going to touch his child.'Briggs told investigators he 'feared for his safety' and 'felt a level of fear and anxiety that someone else was going to come after him' for the rest of the graduation.
