Sky News host Chris Kenny has warned the Australian public there will be a “crazy summer” ahead, both in the “media and politics,” over “climate change hysteria”. KennyOnSunday

Australian economist and academic Bruce Chapman says “everybody wants to help people suffering through the appalling drought” but the Morrison Government must consider “policies that work”. Mr Chapman, who devised the Higher Education Contribution Loan Scheme for student in Australia, called on the Morrison Government to implement a 'HECS-style' loan scheme to help drought-affected farmers. “The thing about the HECS-system, which is applied to university students...

“So, in the future if you don't have the money, you don't have to pay,” he said. “When things recover, then you pay a bit more". Mr Chapman was critical of suggested government grants or loans with subsidised interest rates, as not being an effective method to help the nation’s struggling farmers.

Oh no, the hysteria has already started!

So the media should ignore the drought, any major bushfires, and unusual weather events? I guess you could entertain yourselves with politics and sport... and getting hysterical over people exercising their democratic right to be concerned about polution and emissions?

Is the welfare safety net in place? Are changes suggested?
