A substitute teacher who was jailed for having sex with a teenage student is a recluse in prison, the Irish Sunday Mirror has learned.
A court heard last month how the teacher, who was 23 at the time, waited until the boy’s 16th birthday before engaging in sexual activity because she believed that was the age of consent. A source told the Irish Sunday Mirror: “The woman in question appeared to be in shock at getting such a sentence.“She has been going about her business and not talking or engaging with any other prisoner.“It’s the norm for any prisoner who was a teacher before being locked up to teach other inmates.“It could be her simply teaching someone to learn to read or write or improve on a certain topic.Our Irish Mirror Sports page - which brings you all your Irish and UK sports news - can be found here.
