“I assured them Oyo State would intervene in the current crisis so studies can resume if the various staff unions reach an agreement on how to utilise the intervention fund.”

Oyo State governor Seyi Makinde on Tuesday said the persistent strike action by workers at Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomoso will be resolved if ownership of the institution is transferred to the Oyo State Government.The governor said his visit was to resolve the current crisis which resulted in strike action by staff since Monday, November 18, 2019.

Makinde noted that their support is needed to implement a lasting solution to the university’s challenges.
