Drew Pavlou was violently assaulted during an Australian university campus rally he organised in support of student protests in Hong Kong. Now, he has secured subpoenas against a Chinese Consul-General over the incident.

An Australian university student seeking evidence the Chinese Communist Party was responsible for a violent assault against him has been successful in securing subpoenas against a Chinese Consul-General.

Mr Pavlou is seeking a court order similar to a restraining order under Queensland's Peace and Good Behaviour Act against, Dr Xu , who he claims has endangered him by describing him as an anti-Chinese separatist in a statement published on the Consul-General’s website.
