Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik said the move would help the ministry to optimise the use of limited funds allocated for the purpose of maintaining and managing the schools involved. He said this in response to a supplementary question by Ahmad Tarmizi Sulaiman who suggested the government use a mechanism for distributing aid on a per capita basis which is considered fairer.
