Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has presented a total sum of N197.6 for 2020 budget proposal before Kano state House of Assembly.

Out the total sum proposed, over N79.9 b is set aside for recurrent while capital expenditure got over N117.7 representing 40 per cent and 60 per cent respectively. Education took the lion share of 25.23 per cent of N49.9 billion while Works and Infrastructure next with N33.8 billion. According to Ganduje, the proposed budget will be funded with a recurrent revenue projection of N143billion from internally generated revenue and over N66 billion estimated monthly allocation from the Federal Government.

The capital expenditure of the budget proposal, according to the Governor will be funded with over N23 billion internal and external loans.
