NSTletters I was also glad that there is a plan to help graduates entering the job market and that incentives are provided to those who don’t have a job after 12 months following graduation.

The proposal to reduce the toll on PLUS highways by 18 per cent will help students who have to drive a distance to get to their campus. I was quite pleased to hear about the reduced toll rates of up to 30 per cent during off-peak hours of the day.

Given the market conditions, I am grateful that the government has taken this chance to assist unemployed graduates. While the budget allocated for the Health Ministry is to be celebrated, I noticed there has been no allocation for mental health development, such as neighbourhood psychiatric rehabilitation centres.
