No one at school knew about my complicated family life, but now I’m studying to be a lawyer and making my children proud

I always wanted to study law, but as a teenager I was told I wasn’t smart enough. That put me off for years.

There's always hope. I'm 49 and I'm studying natural science with the OU. I wasn't able to afford it until now it's only possible for me because broadband has opened up education.

That was fantastic, worth reading over and over again. Stories like this only gets you fired up. There is rarely limit to what one can become or achieve in life as long the passion remains burning. BPTC will come&go like every barrier she's smashed en route her legal profession.

So inspiring

I was given the most insane career advice when I was this girl's age. It proved the person didn't know a thing about me. People should listen to nothing but their instincts and their dreams.
