Teachers union urges Education Ministry to review school warden duties | The Malaysian Insight

A teacher who takes on the duties of a warden gets an allowance of RM300 to RM900 a month, depending on their grade, but the amount is halved if the warden lives on the premises. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, October 15, 2019.

THE National Union of Teaching Profession wants the Education Ministry to review the role of teachers doing double duty as school warden as they are overworked, The StarIts president Aminuddin Awang said these teachers have to shoulder over 50 duties in one shift as warden even though there are officially only 26 duties listed in the ministry circular.
