University data shows long delays, raising fears young people’s mental welfare will decline in the interim

Students with mental health problems are being forced to wait up to 12 weeks for help from their university, prompting fears that some may take their own lives during the delay.

Not good - but better than the average NHS waiting time for appointments for mental health assessments. Of course, your GP will prescribe pills in the meantime. When will bojo get assessed?

It's not just a face they need to be able to talk to; they need support in engaging with manageable positive steps such as involving themselves in constructive projects to help solve issues than can provoke or exacerbate their anxieties. Grow an interior jungle, plant trees etc.

Lucky them! I’ve been waiting at least 6 months for psychotherapy.

Mental health needs to be addressed with the same urgency as a physical illness if we are not to be faced with a generation damaged for its future.

Lay that at the doors of austerity. A conservative policy.

Perhaps they should take fewer drugs

Not like it’s life threatening. People are waiting just as much for surgery.

Imagine how many times they’ll sway back and forth along that gender spectrum during that time.
